Low Cost Recursive Localization scheme for High Density Wireless Sensor Networks

چکیده

Whileexistinglocalizationapproachesmainlyfocusonenhancingtheaccuracy,particularattentionhas recentlybeengiventoreducingthelocalizationalgorithmimplementationcosts.Toobtainatradeoff between location accuracy and implementation cost, recursive localization approaches arebeing pursuedasacost-effectivealternativetothemoreexpensivelocalizationapproaches.Intherecursive approach,localizationinformationincreasesprogressivelyasnewnodescomputetheirpositionsand becomethemselvesreferencenodes.Astrategyisthenrequiredtocontrolandmaintainthedistribution ofthesenewreferencenodes.Thelackofsuchastrategyleads,especiallyinhighdensitynetworks, towastedenergy,importantcommunicationoverheadandevenimpactsthelocalizationaccuracy.In thispaper,theauthorsproposeanefficientrecursivelocalizationapproachthatreducestheenergy consumption,theexecutiontime,andthecommunicationoverhead,yetitincreasesthelocalization accuracythroughanadequatedistributionofreferencenodeswithinthenetwork.
